I have come upon an excellent article on the Web which HIGHLY recommends taking an aspirin product regularly for many different conditions. Here it is: http://raypeat.com/articles/aging/aspirin-brain-cancer.shtml
It sounds like something really helpful to take, so I tried an Anacin (way out of date--but other sources say "old" is no problem--I imagine it may just not be as powerful as it used to be). I dissolved it in about 2 oz. of aloe gel (since it does such a great job of coating), and then took water AFTER it. Obviously, this was NOT a wise thing to do, as the aloe gel perhaps (?) caused it to stick real well to my esophagus and stomach, and to cause some pretty serious discomfort for many hours--having to suck slippery elm losenges for hours until the discomfort stopped in the esophagus.
SO.....a question. I imagine some of you take aspirin for one reason or another-either once in awhile or regularly--I would SO appreciate a recommendation of which one would be most "user-friendly", and am wondering if you have ever taken them as Dr. Peat suggests in his article--dissolving them in water before taking? Also, whether you always take them with food, or have found you're able to take them on an empty stomach?
I read two rather horrifying reports on Bufferin (haven't checked the other types/brands), and two positive on the same website; so am hesitant about trying any that someone I "know" hasn't tried and found not only helpful (for pain at least--at this point, testing this application out first before taking regularly)--the two horrifying testimonies said it didn't touch their pain (headaches) and caused severe heartburn (even on a full stomach)-- but also for other things (if you have tried them for anything else).
Could you give help here, please--I would SO appreciate a little guidance on this--perhaps letting me know which of the aspirin products you've tried, the manner of taking them (including ONLY after a meal, or whether you've tried them the way Dr. Peat suggests), and how your body responded.
Thank you so very much for taking time to respond.
