The only challenge is to go out there and discover it. Mustard seed

These past few days I have been experimenting on an upcoming product that contains mustard seed. As you know mustard seed is inactive when dry and there is no noticeable smell. As soon as it hits water, its chemical molecules are activated and creates a pungent, putrid (in my opinion) smell that I find repulsive. Vinegar is supposed to help neutralize the chemical reaction of mustard seed and thus avoid the smell but I've only found it semi-effective. If anyone has suggestions for disarming mustard seed's putrid odor I'd love to hear it.
