Hi Pete,

The quantity of water could be about 150 ml which is the standard size of any glass. As for how much or how long please remember that Diabetes is a chronic ailment so you should continue to take this treatment all through your life.

Regards

I have been having this reatment for the past few days. But I have started having severe headache after 1\2 an hour of this treatment which exists for 2-3 hours.I have stopped this treatment and my headache is no more.
Any specific reasons??

Hi Binay,

I can think of two reasons Firstly your blood sugar could be going down and this could be one of the cause of having an headache.I would recommend you reduce the dosage and see if the headache has ceased. The second reason could be more psychological. Lady finger extracts have high mucilage and it is not exactly very palatable. You may be having nausea while having this treatment. I will suggest you to add a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar which will dissolve the mucilage and make it more palatable. Try and get back to me with the results.

Warm regards and good health.

Hi,

Do we leave the cup in the fridge or under room tempreture? Just curious, cos since it is in room tempreture, it could encourage bacteria growth .

hope to get a reply soon.

Thanks.

Hi Ariel,

I don't think it is necessary since you mash the ladyfingers in the morning the chances of it getting contaminated by bacteria is pretty remote. Still if you want to be doubly sure you can keep it in the fridge also as there will be no change in the efficacy of the treatment.

Once we start taking lady fingers and sugar levels seem to be under control, can we then start taking some liberty with sweet intake or still have to stay away from sweets????

if it strong ,as it seems from comments it may be better to take only half
the water.
or may be take half two times a day.

apart its is necessary for diabetes patients to do aerobic exercises,to get diabetes out of their life.
and good food like whole bread no white sugar no meat many vegetables etc.

Does any one know if this works with frozen lady's fingers that have been frozen and thawed out. I have a supply problem and think I have to use branched and frozen pods to have a steady supply.

My sister-in-law suffered obesity and diabetes since 10 years ago. Now she is drinking everyday yacon leaf infusion (in teabags presentation) in the morning and in the afternoon from 2 to 3 cups, and she´s doing better, sugar and glucose levels decreased and she feels better. Yacon grows in the amazon forest of Peru, is a cultivated plant. Properties of this plant was researched by International Potatoe Center in Lima, Peru.

Hi all,

I am new to this page. Advised by friend about Lady's Fingers (Okra/Bhindi) for diab. treatment.
I have bought it and try to cut and prepare as told, but it seems it produces some clear liquid like saliva and was mixed in the water I suppose to drink. Is this common and safe?
What is the proper preparation? Can somebody advise me the complete details to use & prepare Lady's Fingers for the diab. treatment? Thanks & Regards. TIM.

If you find the extract unpalatable you can add a few drops of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. It will remove the slimyness of the extract. You can also add a little bit of pepper or salt to improve the taste.
