Ingredients Used: Greater Plantain

Description: The development of an abscess can follow from injury to the skin in the form of a small scratch or cut. This becomes an entrance for the bacteria invading the tissue and reproducing. The bacteria responsible for abscess are staphylococci or streptococci. The characterized symptoms of abscess are -heat, swelling, redness, and pain, tenderness and pus. A poultice of plantain]Greater Plantain[/URL] seed is used to draw out infection from boils and abscesses. Greater Plantain and Plantago major (Latin), llantén (Spanish) and common plantain.

Directions For Use: Some seeds of Greater Plantain are soaked in water. Then a paste is formed by grinding them. A poultice is prepared from this paste and tied to the affected area of Abscesses once daily for 4 days.

Not To Use With: As such there are no interactions with any food or drug. As Greater Plantain is safe and well tolerated for treatment of Abscesses.
