Acne Home Remedy Using Cinnamon And Lemon Juice

HI ,

i applied the cinnamon and lemon thingy on my face and instintaneouly my face started burning like maaad ... i rubbed it off as quickly as humanely possible ... im wondering is this a normal reaction to it? im a bit worried

It is possible that you have a very sensitive skin.You can add a little Rose water along with the Cinnamon powder and lemon juice which will cool down the burning sensation.

Hi Zach,

I think you should keep it on the Acne until the preparation dries. The preparation has to be applied frequently but make sure the acne is free from dirt or grime.

Hi,

I just recently applied the cinnamon and lemon to my face and i did get some immediate results..my face did start to burn, and then my face went a sort of red, I am just curious how should the results look after you apply the mixture?

I did use it for nearly 2-3 weeks, initially it was good later the black spot started to increase a lot, How many days does it take the acne marks and black spots to disappear with the above remedy...

Hi Suni,
Could you please elaborate if the Black spot is due to the Dry Scab left behind after the pimple has healed. If it is the case then stop using the treatment after the scab is formed. Do not scratch it and let it fall off naturally. It would take about three to four days to fall off and the underlying tissues to heal. The black spot is due to the accumulation of melanin during the healing process and it will lighten in a fortnight and will not be visible.

Hi Megha,
I had the Pimples way back when i was 15years and i have this black heads from then...now once in a while i get a pimple and they turn into black heads and leave a permanent mark on the face...
There is no dry scab formed..
The Black heads have increased a lot, i am trying to get rid of them, now applying the honey and lemon combination would that help?, i did only lemon for nearly a month, only a bit of black heads had reduced..but they have increased after this cinnamon and lime combination.
Please let me know how to reduce them

Hi Suni
It seems you have a very sensitive skin. Yes Honey and Lime is a good remedy for acne but still I would recommend the Cinnamon and lemon remedy since it is cidal to most of the pathogens which cause acne and lemon will help to open up the plug which closes the acne. You can dilute the mixture by adding a few drops of Rose water or a bit of Glycerin. You can also use a face pack of Fuller's earth which can be obtained from any grocery shop. I shall be waiting for the results.

Hi Megha ,
I am now using Honey with cinamon and lemon all 3 mixed applied before going to bed and then wash next day early morning. Do you think this would help getting rid of the black spots? Or any other alternatives, I stopped the cinnamon and lime has it dint clear out the black heads, No Patience :)
How many days does it take to get rid of these spots??

It's true; if the after burn is less painful than the eruptions that it nearly errased.

i did this and like others, it burned like crazy! i left it for a few seconds but when my eyes got watery i washed it off.

i am 45 an just used this remedy for my skin as i heard it was like microdermabrasion,anyways it burned an i left it for 2 hours because it said leave all night ,its two days later and my face is inflamed sore and i think ive burnt it ,hopefully it will heal because i look 55 now!
