Description: A Blackhead which is medically termed as an open comedo, is a yellowish or blackish plug or a bump on the skin. A blackhead is defined correctly as a type of acne vulgaris. An accumulation of excess oils in the sebaceous glands is the primary cause of blackheads. The black heads consists of keratin and sebum which is secreted by the sebaceous glands. There can be secondary pathogenic infections in the affected site also. Treatment of blackheads takes time. Most treatments take several weeks to months before a noticeable change is seen.Pelargonium radula leaves extracts was as effective as common antibacterial and anti-fungal like penicillin, amoxycillin, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, Genticyn or Fluoroquinolones in the treatment of Blackhead. They work in a similar way as these antibiotic drugs. Also there are no any side effects associated with Pelargonium radula leaves extracts in the treatment of Blackhead.

Directions For Use: Boil 10 to 15 Pelargonium radula leaves in a cup of water for 30 minutes. Take 50 ml of this extract, thrice daily for a period of one week. The symptoms of the Blackhead are resolved in one week and complete cure is effected with Pelargonium radula leaves extracts.

Not To Use With: As such no interactions are seen with Pelargonium radula leaves extracts, therefore no specific precautions need to be kept while treating Blackhead.
