Ingredients Used: Copperleaf

Description: A Carbuncle is defined as a large boil, filled with pus with an opening through which pus and fluids ooze out. It is a bacterial infection mostly caused by Staphylococcus aureus. The infection is contagious and can be spread to other parts of the body. The Carbuncle is filled with fluid, pus and debris of dead tissues and cells. The pus and the fluid drain out by itself. In some cases the Carbuncles are so deep that it cannot drain by itself and has to be incised. The back and the nape of the neck are the most common sites of Carbuncles. Friction from clothing or shaving, generally poor hygiene and weakening of immunity are the common causes of Carbuncles. Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves extracts was as effective as common antibacterial and anti-fungal like penicillin, amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, Genticyn or Fluoroquinolones in the treatment of Carbuncle. They work in a similar way as these antibiotic drugs. Also there are no any side effects associated with Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves extracts in the treatment of Carbuncle.

Directions For Use: Boil 10 to 15 Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves in a cup of water for 30 minutes. Take 50 ml of this extract, thrice daily for a period of one week. The symptoms of the Carbuncle are resolved in one week and complete cure is effected with Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves extracts.

Not To Use With: As such no interactions are seen with Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves extracts, therefore no specific precautions need to be kept while treating Carbuncle.

Side Effects: No side effects are seen since Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves extracts is safe and well tolerated in the treatment of Carbuncle.

Expected Results: The symptoms of Carbuncle have shown to be resolved in a week of the treatment with Copperleaf or Acalypha wilkesiana leaves extracts.
