Also called: Median nerve entrapment
Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is a condition precipitated by Median nerve entrapment or the compression of the median nerve in the wrist. The compression of the median nerve leads to pain, paresthesias, and muscle weakness in the hand. The pain can occur in the thumb, index and middle finger along the path of the median nerve. Sometimes patients can experience the symptoms of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome all over the palm. Median nerve entrapment is more common in women than men. The incidence of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is seen more in women above the age of 45. Repetitive action like typing, using a sewing machine, sports are usually thought to be the precipitating factors of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Different approaches are used for the treatment of Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Use of aids like braces are tried first to immobilize the wrist. As a last resort surgery is conducted to release the compressed median nerve. The prognosis is generally very good.

She passed through chemotherapy with ease. But was it the Wheatgrass?
And if it was, how come it was so hard to find out about it?"
