Description: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) also known as median neuropathy at the wrist. The carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway of ligament and bones at the base of our hand. It contains nerve and tendons. Sometimes, thickening from irritated tendons or other swelling narrows the tunnel and causes the nerve to be compressed. The Symptoms of Carpal tunnel syndrome usually start gradually. As the condition worsen, grasping objects can become difficult. The main cause of the problem is that, some people have smaller carpal tunnels than other people do. Other causes include performing assembly line work, wrist injury, or swelling due to certain diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis. Women are three times more likely to have carpal tunnel syndrome than men. Spilanthes acmella leaves and flower extracts have very potent anti-inflammatory action. Spilanthes acmella leaves and flower extracts has been used in traditional folk medicine to treat numerous diseases. Spilanthes acmella leaves and flower extracts are a natural alternative to commonly used anti-inflammatory drugs like Dolonex(Piroxicam), Brufen (Ibuprofen) and Voveran etc. Spilanthes acmella is also known as Acmella oleracea. Due to it's medicinal values to heal toothache it is also known as toothache plant or paracress.
Directions For Use: Spilanthes acmella or toothache plant can be used to treat Carpal tunnel syndrome as it has potent anti-inflammatory properties. Boil 10 to 15 leaflets of Spilanthes acmella and 2 to 3 flower buds in 250 ml of water for 30 minutes. Strain and drink the extracts twice daily for month. The symptoms of inflammatory condition of Carpal tunnel syndrome is reduced in a week and complete relief is afforded in a month.
Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using Spilanthes acmella to treat Carpal tunnel syndrome.
