The disease is contagious and can be spread by close contact with the infected person.Once you've had an episode of herpes infection, the virus lies dormant in the nerve cells in your skin and may emerge again as an active infection at or near the original site. You may experience an itch or heightened sensitivity at the site preceding each attack. Fever, menstruation, stress and exposure to the sun may trigger a recurrence. Japanese Silverberry Root extracts was as effective as common antibacterial and anti-fungal like penicillin, amoxycillin, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, Genticyn or Fluoroquinolones in the treatment of Cold Sore. Directions For Use: Boil 50 Gms of finely pulverized Japanese Silverberry Root in 500 ml of water for 30 minutes. Strain and drink 15 ml of this extract thrice daily for a week. The symptoms of Cold Sore are resolved in a week of treatment with Japanese Silverberry Root extracts.

Not To Use With: As such no interactions are seen with Japanese Silverberry Root extracts, therefore no specific precautions need to be kept while treating Cold Sore.
