Ingredients Used: Bhadram

Description: Conjunctivitis is also known as Red Eye, Pinkeye and Madras Eye. It is an inflammation of the conjunctiva, the clear membrane that covers the white part of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelids. Conjunctivitis can be caused by infections (such as bacteria and viruses), allergies, or substances that irritate the eyes. Whole plant of Bhadram exhibits improved and broader spectrum of antibacterial activity. It is a natural alternative to antibiotics used against bacterial infections such as penicillin, amoxycillin, Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin etc. Also the treatment with Bhadram is relatively safer also as there are no any side effects associated with it in the treatment of Conjunctivitis. Aerva lanata is the botanical name of Bhadram. The other names of Bhadram are Astmabayata, Bhadrika, Cherula and Cherupula.

Directions For Use: Take some leaves and roots of Bhadram. Dry and powder it. Take 1 teaspoon of this powder and boil in a cup of water. Filter it. Drink this tea twice daily for 3-4 days for the treatment of Conjunctivitis.

Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using Bhadram in the treatment of Conjunctivitis.

Side Effects: None are seen. As Bhadram is safe and well tolerated in the treatment of Conjunctivitis.

Expected Results: The symptoms of Conjunctivitis is found to be resolved and improved in 4 days of the treatment with Bhadram.
