Conditions Treated: Eyes

Specific Conditions Treated: Conjunctivitis

Ingredients Used: Calendula

Description: Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of the outermost layer of the eye ans the inner surface of the eyelids and is usually caused by allergic reaction, infection or even too much work under artificial light. The main symptoms are redness, irritation, watering of the eyes and distinctive itchy feeling which often forces us to rub our eyes and in fact worsen our condition. Calendula petals are well known for their anti-inflammatory and soothing properties and can be used to fight the conjunctivitis.

Directions For Use: The best way is to buy calendula petals in bags prepared to make calendula tea. Then simply soak two bags into boiling water, wait for 5 minutes, then take the bags, leave them to cool off and make a compress on eyes for 10-15 minutes 3 times a day.
When you don't have calendula in bags, prepare an infusion made of 1-1,5 spoon of calendula petals and 1 glass of boiling water, simmer it for 5 minutes, filtrate, then let it cool off and prepare a compress of clean linen cloth soaked in calendula infusion.

Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using this treatment.

Side Effects: None are seen, although remember to filtrate the infusion thoroughly.

Expected Results: The itchy feeling will be reduced after 2-3 hours, your condition should improve in 2-3 days.

Expected Results Within: 3 days
