Description: Among all the sense organs the eye is the most sensitive and complex organ. This condition is known as Conjunctivitis or Pinkeye. The infection could be limited to the conjunctiva or it could spread to other structures in the eye. It can affect one or both the eyes. Children are the most affected. Symptoms of Conjunctivitis may include redness, itching, swelling, discharge, pain, or problems with vision. Treatment depends on the cause of the infection and may include compresses, eye drops, creams or antibiotics. Cestrum auriculatum root extracts is a natural alternative for commonly used anti-biotics like Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin, Roxithromycin and Penicillin derivatives.
