Cassia grandis, the coral shower tree, belongs to the legume family (Fabaceae). This tropical tree native to Central and South America produces many blooms of pink flowers. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant.
It could reach 15 meters height. After the pink flowers face, hard and large black pods are produced.
Cassia grandis is known for its very effective antianemic activity, which has been widely documented.
