Ingredients Used: Lanolin

Description: Human are no different from other mammals. Breastfeeding is one of the best forms of providing nourishment to the growing infant. All Doctors and Health Care centers are unanimous in the view that mother’s milk is the best for the child. However breast feeding has its own share of problems. One of the most common problems is Cracked Nipples. This is caused by drying of the skin around the nipple area, which can be irritating and painful. The common causes of Cracked Nipples are: Improper breastfeeding technique, overuse of one breast when breastfeeding, improper drying of nipples following breastfeeding, prolonged contact of nipple with soggy breast pads and eczema of nipple. Application of Lanolin or wool wax is very soothing to the Cracked Nipples and also prevents any secondary pathogenic infections. Lanolin or wool wax is soothing and helps the early healing of Cracked Nipples. Medical grade lanolin is used as a cream to soothe skin, as it is hypoallergenic and bacteriostatic. In this form it is used by some breastfeeding mothers on sore and Cracked Nipples.

Directions For Use: Apply Lanolin or wool wax twice daily on the Cracked Nipples. The Cracked Nipples are resolved in three days. Lanolin or wool wax has been used since long for treating Cracked Nipples.

Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using Lanolin or wool wax to treat Cracked Nipples. Lanolin or wool wax is very safe and devoid of any adverse reactions and can be safely used for treating Cracked Nipples.

Side Effects: None are seen. Lanolin or wool wax are safe and tolerated in the treatment of Cracked Nipples.
