Description: Cystitis is inflammation of the urinary bladder. The condition more often affects women, but can affect either gender and all age groups. Cystitis is also known as Urinary Tract Infection, UTI, Cystitis and Bladder Inflammation. Cystitis occurs when the normally sterile lower urinary tract is infected by bacteria and becomes irritated and inflamed. It is very common. The condition frequently affects sexually active women ages 20 to 50 but may also occur in those who are not sexually active or in young girls. Older adults are also at high risk for developing cystitis, with the incidence in the elderly being much higher than in younger people. Cystitis is rare in males. Coccinia leaves extracts have been used in traditional African herbal treatments, especially for infective states given its strong Anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity. Coccinia leaves extracts are a natural substitute for anti-biotics like Ciprofloxacin, Roxithromycin or Azithromycin. Coccinia leaves extracts are also effective in treating fungal infections especially topical fungal infections and can be safely used in place of commonly used topical anti-fungals like Cannestan or Nizoral. Coccinia is also known as Scarlet gourds.

Directions For Use: Boil 5 to 10 Coccinia leaves in a cup of water for 30 minutes to extract all the useful ingredients. Strain and drink 20 ml of this extract, twice daily for a week. The symptoms of Cystitis will be resolved in a week.

Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using this treatment. Coccinia is a safe ingredient and is well tolerated for the treatment of Cystitis.
