Conditions Treated: Infectious Diseases

Specific Conditions Treated: Encephalitis

Ingredients Used: Sanguisorba officinalis

Description: Encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain parenchyma, presents as diffuse and/or focal neuropsychological dysfunction. From an epidemiologic and pathophysiologic perspective, encephalitis is distinct from meningitis, though on clinical evaluation the 2 often coexist with signs and symptoms of meningeal inflammation, such as photophobia, headache, or a stiff neck. Cerebritis describes the stage preceding abscess formation and implies a highly destructive bacterial infection of brain tissue, whereas acute encephalitis is most commonly a viral infection with parenchymal damage varying from mild to profound. Of the subacute and chronic encephalopathies, the ED physician is most likely to encounter toxoplasmosis in immunocompromised patients. Sanguisorba officinalis roots extract is a natural alternative for commonly used anti-biotics like Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin, Roxithromycin and Penicillin derivatives. Sanguisorba officinalis roots extract is devoid of the usual side effects associated with conventional anti-biotics like gastric irritation and resistance. Sanguisorba officinalis roots extract can be used with confidence to treat Encephalitis.

Directions For Use: Boil 50 Gms of finely pulverized Sanguisorba officinalis roots in 500 ml of water for 30 minutes. Strain and drink 15 ml of this extract thrice daily for a week. The symptoms of Encephalitis are resolved in a week of treatment with Sanguisorba officinalis roots extracts.

Not To Use With: None are seen. Sanguisorba officinalis roots extract can be used with confidence in the treatment of Encephalitis.

Side Effects: No side effects are seen when Sanguisorba officinalis roots extracts are used in the treatment of Encephalitis.
