Name: Ephedra

Description: Ephedra is an alkaloid usually obtained from the plant Ephedra sinica. Ephedra sinica is known in Chinese as ma huang. Common cold, asthma, flu and hay fever. Some people also drink tea brewed from an Ephedra. Few years back Ephedra was much in news for some of its side –effects. But in todays date Ephedra is famous for its fat burning properties. As obesity and excessive fats are major issues nowadays. It is also considered as a smart drug and a proper sports supplement. Ephedra is also used to drive out external pathogens and normalize the appropriate functioning of the lungs.
