Description: Filaria or Elephantiasis is a parasitic and infectious disease which is transmitted by mosquitoes and caused by a nematode named Wuchereria bancrofti. It is mostly seen in South Asia and is endemic in central India. Filaria is characterized by the thickening of the skin and tissues. The lower extremities of the leg become swollen and look like an elephant foot, hence the name Elephantiasis. The swelling is caused when the parasite lodges in the lymphatic system blocking the out pouring of the lymph. Elephantiasis affects mainly the lower extremities; whereas ears, mucus membranes, and amputation stumps are rarely affected; however, it depends on the species of filaria. W. bancrofti can affect the legs, arms, vulva, breasts; while Brugia timori rarely affects the genitals. Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome extracts are very effective in resolving the secondary pathogenic infections and helping the early resolution of Filaria. Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome extracts are as effective as commonly used conventional anti-biotics like Amoxicillin or Erythromycin in resolving the symptoms of Filaria.

Directions For Use:

Boil 50 Gms of Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome in a cup of water for 30 minutes. Take 50 ml of this extract,thrice daily for a period of one week. The symptoms of Filaria are resolved in one week of treatment with Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome extracts and complete cure is effected.

Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using this treatment. Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome extracts are as effective and much safer as compared with other antibiotics in the treatment of Filaria.

Side Effects: None are seen. Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome extracts can be used with confidence in the treatment of Filaria.

Expected Results: The symptoms of Filaria are resolved in one week of treatment with Spiked Ginger or Hedychium spicatum Rhizome extracts and complete cure is effected.
