Description: Non-inflammatory enlargement of the gingivae produced by factors other than local irritation. It is characteristically due to an increase in the number of cells. Solanum nigrum leaves extract have been used in traditional folk medicine to treat numerous diseases. The leaves of Solanum nigrum possess anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. Hence these extracts are natural alternative to commonly used anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs like Serratiopeptidase, Combiflam, Diclofenac and Ibuprofen etc. Solanum nigrum leaves extracts can be used with assurance for treatment of inflammatory and aching conditions associated with Gingival swelling.
