Description: Head Lice aren't dangerous and they don't spread disease, but they are contagious and can just be downright annoying. Head Lice bites may cause a child's scalp to become itchy and inflamed, and persistent scratching may lead to skin irritation and even infection. Children ages 3-11 and their families get Head Lice most often. Olive oil will dissolve the exoskeletons of the Head Lice. The Lice would be suffocated from Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus oil and will die.
Directions For Use: Mix your shampoo with 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil, 1 teaspoon of Tea Tree Oil and 1 teaspoon of Eucalyptus Oil. Apply this combination into the hair. Wear a tight-fitting shower cap. Wash off after an hour.
Not To Use With: As such there are no interactions of Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil seen with any food or drug while treating Head Lice.
Side Effects: No side effects are seen with Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil while treating Head Lice.
Expected Results: The Head Lice will be killed after 1/2 hour of the application of Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil.
Expected Results Within: 1 hour

This treatment was perfect in killing the live lice. Worked like a charm. BUT . . . then starts the hard work of picking out the nits. Believe me - diligence pays off. It has not been 8 days since the infamous call. I put olive oil on my kids heads every night (all night wrapped in celophane and then a shower cap), and comb thoroughly with vinegar in a spray bottle every morning. As effective as this has been, I am still finding a few eggs each combing. It is true that the eggs can hatch 7 - 10 days after being laid (I have actually heard up to 14 but am scared to believe that). So it is important to do the initial treatment again (tea tree oil and eucalyptis oil) 7 or 8 days after the first time. And keep up the oil treatments for another 7 days. I know it sounds tedious, but I would rather contend with the oil than to have eggs hatch and start the process all over.
Good luck to all - it is a very humbling experience.

Have not used this treatment but I must tell the readers that the best comb I have ever found is called the NitFree Terminator by Kleen-Free.
This one worked wonders for us and pulled out hundreds of eggs that the cheap ones from the store left behind. They also have sme chemical free shampoos and sprays that we used to get rid of lice when our little one brought them home.
