Description:
Properties: acrid slightly warm

Functions: Releases Exterior, expels damp for Wind-cold damp during humid summer weather exacerbated by eating cold foods

Dosage for decoction: 5-10g, double the dosage when it is fresh.
In Chinese medicine, Huo Xiang/Patchouly oil is used orally for colds, headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. It is also used orally to treat bad breath, particularly when it is associated with alcohol ingestion. The leaf, fruit, and flower are used to treat tumors.
In Foods and beverages, patchouly oil is used as a flavor ingredient.
In Manufacturing, patchouly oil is used in perfumes and cosmetics.
