Description: Indian Gooseberry is also known as Amla, Phyllanthus emblica, amlaki and Emblic myrobalan or Emblica Officinalis. Indian Gooseberry has been used in Ayurvedic preparations for hundreds of years. Gooseberry is a rich source of vitamins, especially Vitamin C. Indian gooseberry is particularly recommended in mental ailments like insomnia and hysteria. Indian gooseberry juice is a good anti depressant and mild sedative.
