Conditions Treated: Ear Nose and Throat

Specific Conditions Treated: Inner Ear Infection

Ingredients Used: Ophryosporus peruvianus

Description: The labyrinth is a structure of fluid-filled sacs and tubes just inside the skull. It contains 2 important organs: the cochlea, which is necessary for hearing, and the balance organs (or vestibular system), which tell people which way is up and down, even when their eyes are shut. Either one or both of these organs can be affected. The entire labyrinth is less than half an inch across, so infection can easily spread throughout it. The inner ear also contains a bundle of nerves leading from these organs to the brain. Inflammation of these nerves is called neuronitis. It's often impossible to find out whether it is the labyrinth or the nerves that are inflamed. The exact cause of labyrinthitis is not yet known. It may be related to a viral infection or, rarely, a bacterial infection. After a person has an upper respiratory infection like the flu or a middle ear infection (otitis media), labyrinthitis may occur. Bacterial labyrinthitis may occur in people who have an injury called a perilymph fistula (a hole between the middle and inner ears through which bacteria can enter). This type of injury is often caused by sudden changes in pressure as in explosions, diving, and skydiving. Ophryosporus peruvianus roots extract is a natural alternative for commonly used anti-biotics like Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin, Roxithromycin and Penicillin derivatives. Ophryosporus peruvianus rootsextract is devoid of the usual side effects associated with conventional anti-biotics like gastric irritation and resistance. Ophryosporus peruvianus roots extract can be used with confidence to treat Inner Ear Infection.
