The reproductive age of a women starts from the age of 15 years to 45 years. The cessation of menstrual cycle is termed as Menopause or Change of life. Every 28 days the ovary releases an ovum which comes to rest in the fallopian tube waiting to be fertilized by the sperm. The process of ovulation is controlled by various hormones. By the time the woman reaches the age of 45 the secretion of these hormones is reduced leading to Menopause. Menopause brings along with numerous problems like osteoporosis, hot flushes, heart ailments and a tendency to become obese. Most of the Menopausal symptoms are manageable. If the symptoms are severe, medicines can be used. Exercise and eating right can help keep women healthy as they age.
