Name: Ophryosporus peruvianus

Description: Ophryosporus is a genus of flowering plant in the Asteraceae family. It contains 48 species, most of them from South America. It is used as an anti-microbial in Peruvian medicine.The roots are bitter, acrid and extracts are used as an anti-helminthic. bark extracts show significant anti-microbial action.
