Name: Phagnalon rupestre

Description: Dwarf shrub up to 50cm. Stems erect, wooly hairy. Leaves 1-4cm, oblanceolate to obovate, densely wooly hairy beneath, almost hairless or with occasional cobwebby hairs above, irregularly toothed; margin somewhat rolled backwards. Flower heads solitary. Outer phyllaries ovate to triangular, obtuse; inner lanceolate, tipped with a sharp point, entire to irregulalry toothed. Cypselas cylindrical, somewhat compressed or angled, unbeaked, usually hairy.
