Description: Most women feel physical or mood changes during the days before menstruation. When these changes affect a woman's normal life, they are known as Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS). As wild yam possesses dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA)-like properties and acts as a precursor to human sex hormones such as estrogen and progesterone. Thus wild yam have been used to treat Premenstrual Syndrome. Wild Yam is also known as Dioscorea villosa.
Directions For Use: Boil 2 to 3 Wild Yam leaves in a cup of water. Strain and drink the filtrate once daily for 2 weeks. The Premenstrual Syndrome are resolved in 2 weeks.
Not To Use With: As such no specific precaution needs to be followed while using Wild Yam in the treatment of Premenstrual Syndrome.
