Description: Properties:

bitter, cold.

vaginal yeast or bacterial infection

aesculin 秦皮甲素 , aesculetin 秦皮乙素 .

Dosage:
3 ~12 g


Toxicity & Cautions:


Although the toxicity of decoction is low, occasionally it can cause nausea and vomiting.
Do not use large amount. Large amount of herb causes lab animals into sedative state, spasm, coma, respiratory arrest, and death.

Qin pi is mainly used in acute bacterial infection of intestine, not to use in chronic diarrhea caused by pixu (spleen deficient) shenyangxu (kidney yang deficient) or it may weaken the body further.

Not to use with wu zhu yu.
