What is Seborrheic Dermatitis?

Also called: Cradle Cap, Dandruff, Seborrhea, Seborrheic eczema

Dandruff or Seborrheic Dermatitis or Cradle Cap is a common type of Eczema which originates in the scalp and can spread to the face and beyond. Like most of the other types of Eczema Dandruff or Seborrheic Dermatitis flares up in the winter season. Signs and symptoms of Dandruff can vary from person to person. Reddish, somewhat swollen patches of skin, often resembling Atopic dermatitis are seen. The patches can appear on the scalp, hairline, upper lip, beneath the eyebrows, inside and behind the ears, eyelids, creases near the mouth, around the nose, armpits, groin, navel, buttocks, underneath the breasts, and upper back. There is intense itching in these patches. Flaking skin with scale that ranges in color from white to yellowish brown are also seen. While the exact cause is not known, researchers believe that a number of factors interact to cause Dandruff or Seborrheic Dermatitis. These factors include the genes we inherit, yeast that normally live on human skin, stress, climate, and overall general health.

Tamir Goren "When my mother fell ill with cancer I wanted to find a natural solution to help with her suffering. After an excessive research I learned about Wheatgrass. And it seemed to work! She passed through chemotherapy with ease. But was it the Wheatgrass? And if it was, how come it was so hard to find out about it?"
