Description: Sinusitis/ Sinus Infection refers to inflammation of the sinuses that occurs with a viral, bacterial, or fungal infection. Healthy sinuses contain no bacteria or other organisms and are open, allowing mucus to drain and air to circulate. When inflamed, the sinuses become blocked with mucus and can become infected. Each year, over 30 million adults and children get sinusitis. Sinusitis can be acute or chronic, with symptoms lingering much longer. Coccinia leaves extracts have been used in traditional African herbal treatments, especially for infective states given its strong Anti-fungal and anti-bacterial activity. Coccinia leaves extracts are a natural substitute for anti-biotics like Ciprofloxacin, Roxithromycin or Azithromycin.
