Description: Sinus Infection, or sinusitis, is an inflammation of the sinuses and nasal passages. Symptoms of a sinus infection include headache or pressure in the eyes, cheeks, nose, or on one side of the head. Other symptoms of Sinus Infection may include nasal congestion with thick nasal secretions, cough, fever or bad breath. Psychotria microlabastra root and stem extract was as effective as common antibacterials like penicillin, amoxycillin, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, Genticyn or Fluoroquinolones. They work in a similar way as these antibiotic drugs. Also there is no any side effects associated with Psychotria microlabastra in the treatment of Sinus Infection. Psychotria is a plant genus in the family Rubiaceae.
Directions For Use: A powder is prepared with dried roots and stem bark of Psychotria microlabastra. This powder is then boiled in a cup of of water for about 10 min. Then strain and cool it. Drink this tea thrice daily for 3 days. The antibacterial property of stem bark and root will come in the tea, thus treats the symptoms of Sinus Infection.
Not To Use With: As such no specific precaution needs to be followed while using Psychotria microlabastra in the treatment of Sinus Infection.
Side Effects: No side effects are seen. As Psychotria microlabastra is safe and well tolerated in the treatment of Sinus Infection.
