Name: Soap

Description: Soaps are sodium or potassium salts of fatty acids.It is prepared by leaching an alkali with any fat or oil.Soap are alkaline and tastes bitter.The chemical reaction that yields soap is known as saponification. In the saponification of a fat to form soap the alkali and water hydrolyze the fat thus converting it into free glycerol/glycerin and soap (fatty acid salt).Soaps are used universally for washing and cleaning.Soaps are also anti-septic.
