Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or SLE or Discoid Lupus is an immune disorder. The immune system starts attacking healthy cells and tissues. The joints, skin, blood vessels, and organs are all affected. Lupus Erythematosus or Discoid lupus affects many part of the body. Lupus Erythematosus or Discoid lupus causes a rash that doesn’t go away. Cutaneous Lupus can cause sores on exposure to sun. Lupus can be caused by certain medication. A rare form of neonatal lupus is seen in new born babies. Women are more prone to Lupus Erythematosus or Discoid lupus. Lupus has many symptoms. Some common symptoms include "Joint pain or swelling, muscle pain, fever with no known cause, and red rashes, often on the face". There is no cure for lupus, but medicines and lifestyle changes can help control it.
