Conditions Treated: Immune

Specific Conditions Treated: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Ingredients Used: Vitamin D

Description: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is also known as SLE, Lupus, Discoid lupus and Subacute cutaneous lupus. SLE is an autoimmune disorder which develops when the body's own immune system, which normally protects against cancers and invading infections, begins to attack the patient's own tissues. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a chronic inflammatory disease. It may affect the skin, joints, kidneys, and other organs. SLE affects nine times as many women as men. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus may occur at any age, but appears most often in people between the ages of 10 and 50 years. The medication given in SLE leads to release of calcium from the bones, thus vitamin D is given to absorb calcium in the body. Vitamin D is also known as the "sunshine vitamin" because the body manufactures the vitamin after being exposed to sunshine. Other names of Vitamin D include: rachitamin, rachitasterol and antirachitic factor.

Directions For Use: Take a 2000 IU Vitamin D capsule daily for 2 months regularly for the treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.
