Description: Tinea Versicolor is also known as Pityriasis Versicolor. It is a fungal infection of the skin. Tinea Versicolor is the result of the overgrowth of yeast known as Malassezia furfur. The usual pigmentation of the skin is affected due to this. Tinea Versicolor takes place more commonly in areas with higher temperatures and highly humid areas. It usually occurs in 5-6 out of every 100 individual. Tinea Versicolor is not considered to be communicable disease as the disease causing yeast is the normal occupant of the skin. The antibacterial terpenes from the oleo-resin of Guggal gum, makes it a potent and effective herb for treating bacterial diseases like Tinea Versicolor. Hence Guggal gum is a natural alternative to penicillin, amoxycillin, ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, Genticyn or Fluoroquinolones and other antibiotic drugs used for treating Bronchitis. Also there are no any side effects associated with it. Guggal gum is also known as Commiphora myrrha, Balsamodendron myrrha, gum myrrh tree, Commiphora resin or resin.

Directions For Use: Boil 50 Gms of finely pulverized Guggal gum in 500 ml of water for 30 minutes. Strain and drink 15 ml of this extract thrice daily for a week. The symptoms of Tinea Versicolor are resolved in a week of treatment with Guggal gum extracts.

Not To Use With: As such no interactions are seen with Guggal gum extracts, therefore no specific precautions need to be kept while treating Tinea Versicolor.

Side Effects: No side effects are seen since Guggal gum extracts is safe and well tolerated in the treatment of Tinea Versicolor.

Expected Results: The symptoms of Tinea Versicolor have shown to be resolved in a week of the treatment with Guggal gum extracts.
