Toothache or odontalgia or odontalgy or Pain - tooth or teeth, is pain in the region of a tooth. Good quality teeth are a significant part of one's well being and look. Toothache is a very frequent problem and can occur without a forewarning. Most of the times tooth decay or bacterial infection gives rise to Toothaches. Poor dental hygiene gives rise to tooth decay. The other causes of Toothaches are gum disease, the coming out of wisdom teeth, a broken tooth etc.
