Conditions Treated: Infectious Diseases

Specific Conditions Treated: Whooping Cough

Ingredients Used: Spirulina

Description: Whooping Cough is also known as Pertussis. Whooping Cough is a very serious disease when it occurs in children under the age of one year old. Whooping Cough is caused by a bacterium (Bordetella pertussis) and is one of the most communicable bacterial infections. If one child in a group of siblings gets it, the other children are extremely likely to become infected if they have not already had the disease. It usually starts as a sore throat with a mild feeling of exhaustion and being unwell, that within 2 or 3 days turns into dry, irregular "ordinary" cough. Spirulina platensis is having strong antibacterial activity towards various pathogenic bacteria. It is a natural alternative to antibiotic drugs used against pathogenic bacteria, such as penicillin, amoxycillin, Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin etc. Also the treatment with Spirulina platensis is relatively safer as no any side effects are associated with it in the treatment of Whooping Cough. Spirulina also known as Arthrospira, BGA, Blue-Green Algae and Cyanophyta is cultivated around the world.

Directions For Use: Take some leaves and roots of Spirulina platensis. Dry and powder them. Take 1 teaspoon of this powder and boil in a cup of water. Filter it. Drink this tea twice daily for 3-4 days. Due its antibacterial activity, it will help to get rid of the Whooping Cough.

Not To Use With: No specific precaution needs to be followed while using Spirulina platensis in the treatment of Whooping Cough.

Side Effects: None are seen. As Spirulina platensis is safe and well tolerated in the treatment of Whooping Cough.

Expected Results: The symptoms of Whooping Cough is found to be resolved and improved in 3 days of the treatment with Spirulina platensis.

Expected Results Within: 3 days
